BEETROOT SHORBA

Elements

4 medium beetroots, peeled and roughly chopped
2 tsps oil
4-5 black peppercorns
1 bay leaf
½ tsp chopped ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 medium onion, roughly chopped
1 medium tomato, roughly chopped
Salt to style
¼ tsp crushed black peppercorns + to sprinkle
Breadsticks for serving

Technique

1. Warmth oil in a strain cooker; add black peppercorns, bay leaf, ginger, garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
